2015-16 Big Bash Cricket League is round the corner. Preparation for the league has started quite early this year with the inclusion of players like Brendon McCullum, Chris Gayle and Samuel Badree. The season is expected to start on 17th December with a game between Sydney Thunder and Sydney Sixers. Four winners from the league stage will go on to play two semi finals. Through semi-finals, both the teams for the final will be decided. Therefore, it will not possible to predict the names even before the league stages. Matches for the league stages will be finished on 18th January. However, the final match of the Big Bash will be held on 24th Jan. Venue for the semi finals and finals are not known yet.

Eight teams playing for Big Bash Cricket 2015-15 are Adelaide Strikers, Brisbane Heat, Hobart Hurricanes, Melbourne Renegades, Melbourne Star, Perth Scorchers, Sydney Sixers and Sydney Thunder.

The present ODI captain of the Australian team George Bailey has been signed by Hobart Hurricane. In the squad for the Hobart Hurricane, it is possible to see the names like Shaun Tate and Kumar Sangakara. The Sri Lankan wicket-keeper batsman has recently retired from the game of international cricket. However, Midas touch of the player can be seen once again with the Big Bash. Bowling front of the team is supposed to be carried by the leg spinner Boyce and pace bowler Jake Reed. Both the players are in excellent form. From Hobart Hurricanes, Xavier Doherty has been transferred to Melbourne Renegades. He has been a part of the Australian Squad for World Cup 2015. However, he has played only single match in the tournament. Limited chances have been observed for the player in the previous seasons of Big Bash as well. Therefore, it is quite certain that Doherty is eager to prove his talent in front of the people.

In the next season of Big Bash, Shane Watson will be playing for the Sydney Thunder. He has a contract with the team for three years. Shane Watson may also fulfill the duty as captain by replacing Michael Hussey. In the previous seasons, Watson has played for the teams like Brisbane Heat and Sydney Sixers. Presence of experience player like Jacques Kallis has been seen with the team.

One of the biggest causes for celebration has been observed with the signing of Chris Gayle for this season of Big Bash, which has changed the early lines of the likes of online bookmaker bet365.
